It was a thrill to participate in a day long program at UC San Diego in honor of Galileo’s 450th birthday in 2014. This event, was an exciting, interdisciplinary event presented by The Arthur C. Clarke Center for Human Imagination. Our Panel Discussion was moderated by Sheldon Brown with: Dr. Jay Pasachoff (Astronomy, Williams College), Dr. Stephanie Jed (Literature, UCSD), Dr. Renee Raphael (History, UC Irvine) and Dr. Shlomo Dubnov (Music,UCSD). It featured an inspiring performance by “The Musicians In Ordinary for the Lutes and Voices” playing the music of Galileo’s age.(3hr)
